The speaker tools on this site generate tones inside your browser with the Web Audio API. They don’t upload anything and don’t need an account.

Microphone

Only the noise meter uses the microphone, and only after you press Start and your browser asks for permission. It reads the sound level in the tab; the sound is never recorded, stored or sent. Pressing Stop or closing the tab releases the microphone.

What the site stores

Nothing. SoundTowel sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser's storage. Your chosen mode, length and frequency are forgotten when you close the tab.

Analytics

The site counts visits with Ahrefs Web Analytics, which works without cookies. When you use a tool, it also counts which tool and mode you started, how long a cleaning session was set to run, whether the microphone was allowed for the noise meter, and clicks on links about the SoundTowel app. Nothing about your device, your files or your sound is sent.
